Terms and conditions

Last updated 1 November 2026. The agreement between your shop and HindustanBills — in plain words, because you should be able to read it without a lawyer.

1. Who this agreement is between

These terms are between you — the business that opens an account — and HindustanBills (“we”, “us”), which operates the HindustanBills billing software at clothing.hindustanbills.com (the “Service”).

By creating an account or continuing to use the Service you accept these terms. If you are opening the account for a shop you work for, you confirm you are allowed to accept them on that shop’s behalf.

2. What the Service is

Web-based billing, stock, repair and GST software for Indian shops. It runs in a browser; there is nothing to install and no per-device licence. What it does today is what is described on this site — we do not advertise screens that do not exist.

We add to and change the Service over time. We will not remove something you depend on without telling you first.

3. Your account and your staff

One account belongs to one shop. You may invite staff and give them their own logins; you are responsible for who you invite, what they do in the Service, and for removing them when they leave.

Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think somebody has got into your account who should not have.

4. Your data belongs to you

Your bills, products, customers, khata entries and reports are yours. We store and process them to run the Service for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell them, and we do not use them to advertise to you or to anybody else.

You can export products, sales, customers and reports to CSV, and invoices to PDF, from inside the app — during the trial and for as long as your subscription is live. Note that when access lapses those screens are no longer reachable, so take your exports before that happens; the cancellation policy sets this out in full.

How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

5. What you agree not to do

Using the Service, you will not:

  • break Indian law with it, including tax and invoicing law;
  • issue invoices through it for a business that is not yours to bill for;
  • resell, rent out or white-label access to other businesses without a written agreement with us;
  • attempt to break into other shops’ accounts, or to probe, scrape or overload the Service;
  • upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to hold.

Accounts doing any of the above can be suspended. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right first.

6. Trial, fees and GST

Every new shop gets 7 days of full access with no card required. After that the Service costs ₹2,999 a year for the whole shop, or ₹6,999 billed once every three years. GST applies as per Indian law and is shown on your invoice.

Payments are collected by Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card number or UPI details.

We may change the published price, but never for a period you have already paid for. If a price change would affect your next renewal, we will tell you before it is taken.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Profile → Subscription, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. The full detail — including what happens to your data afterwards, and when a refund is appropriate — is on the cancellation and refund policy page.

8. Availability

We work to keep the Service up and quick, and billing keeps working on the counter even when the connection drops, syncing when the signal returns. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and we may take the Service down briefly for maintenance.

Keep your own exports. The Service is not a substitute for your own records of your own business.

9. Liability

The Service helps you produce GST-compliant documents, but the figures you file are your responsibility and your accountant’s. We do not provide tax advice, and we are not liable for a return filed on numbers you did not check.

To the extent Indian law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the Service is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or lost business.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using the Service and close your account whenever you like. We can end this agreement if you break these terms, or if we discontinue the Service — in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to export everything.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes or the law does. When a change is material we will update the date at the top of this page and tell you by email or in the app. Carrying on using the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms go to [email protected], or through the contact page. A real person reads it.
