Cancellation and refunds

Last updated 1 November 2026. What happens when you cancel, when a card is charged, and when it is not — written to match what the software actually does.

The short version

  • Nothing is charged during the 7-day free trial. No card is asked for to start one.
  • You can cancel from inside the app at any time, without emailing anyone.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut off the period you have already paid for — you keep working until that period ends.
  • The three-year plan works the same way: cancelling stops the next three-year charge, and you keep the three years already paid for.
  • A subscription year already paid for is not refunded automatically. If you think you were charged in error, write to us and we will look at it.
  • Export your data before your access ends, not after. Clause 5 explains why.

1. The free trial

Every new shop gets 7 days of full access. We do not ask for a card to start the trial, and no payment instruction exists until you choose a plan.

If you subscribe during the trial, the mandate is set up to take its first rupee at the end of the trial, not on the day you subscribe. A shop that subscribes on day three and changes its mind on day ten is never charged at all.

The three-year plan is different: it is a single payment, taken when you pay. Its three years start when your trial ends, so paying early never costs you free days.

2. What a subscription costs

₹2,999 a year for the whole shop — every feature, every user, one price. Or ₹6,999 billed once every three years for the same plan. GST applies as per Indian law. We will not change the price of a period you have already paid for.

3. How to cancel

Open your account, go to Profile → Subscription, and use “Cancel subscription”. It takes effect immediately in the sense that no further renewal will be attempted; you do not need to ask permission or give a reason.

If you would rather someone did it for you, email [email protected] from the address on the account.

4. What cancelling does

Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the billing period you have paid for. You keep full access until that date — the bills, the stock, the khata and the reports all keep working exactly as before. Nothing is switched off early as a penalty for cancelling.

After that date the subscription lapses and no further payment is taken.

5. What happens when access ends

When a trial runs out, or a cancelled subscription reaches the end of its paid period, the account is locked behind the subscribe screen. You can still sign in, but the billing, stock, khata and report screens are not reachable until a subscription is active again. Exports run from inside those screens, so they are not available either.

This is the practical consequence worth planning for: take your CSV and PDF exports while your access is still live. Products, sales, customers and reports all export to CSV, and invoices to PDF, from the screens they live on.

Your data is not deleted when access lapses. It stays on our servers, and subscribing again restores the account as you left it. If you want it removed instead, ask us and we will delete it — see the privacy policy. If you would like an export after you have already lapsed, write to us and we will get your data out to you.

6. Refunds

Because the trial is 7 days long and needs no card, you have a full month to decide before any money moves. For that reason a period that has already been paid for — a year, or the three years of the three-year plan — is not refunded automatically if you stop using it partway through; you keep the access you paid for until it runs out.

That is not a refusal to look at individual cases. Write to [email protected] and we will deal with it honestly, in particular where:

  • you were charged after cancelling;
  • you were charged twice for the same period;
  • the software could not do something it says on this site that it does, and we could not fix it for you.

Where a refund is due, it goes back to the card or account it came from, through Razorpay. Razorpay typically takes 5–7 working days to return the money to your bank after we approve it; the exact timing is your bank’s, not ours.

7. Failed renewals

If a renewal payment fails, the subscription is not cancelled straight away — the payment is retried, and we would rather tell you about it than lock you out of your counter mid-month. If it ultimately cannot be collected, the account lapses as described in clause 5 and nothing further is taken from your card.

8. Getting in touch

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, or use the form on the contact page. We reply on working days, usually the same one. Tell us the shop name and we will find the subscription.
