What comes with it

Two promises that outlast the subscription

Both are in the terms, not just on this page.

  • The price you join at is held

We may change the published price, but never for a period you have already paid for — and if a change would affect your renewal, you hear about it before it is taken. That is clause 6 of the terms, not a marketing line. GST applies as per Indian law and is shown on your invoice.

  • Your books leave when you do

Everything exports to CSV, JSON and PDF — during the trial, while you pay, and after you cancel. The download sits on the subscribe screen itself, so a shop whose plan has lapsed is never holding its own records hostage to a renewal.

Questions

Before you pay

Do I need to install anything?

No. It opens in the browser you already have, on a laptop, desktop, Android tablet or phone — the same data on all of them. You can also add it to your home screen, and then it opens like any other app and keeps working without a connection.

What happens when the internet goes down mid-bill?

You keep billing. The screen, your products and your customers are stored on the device, so bills you create during an outage are saved locally and sent up automatically the moment you are back online. A small banner tells you how many are waiting.

Is it GST compliant?

Yes, for invoicing and returns. You get tax invoices with the CGST/SGST/IGST split and place of supply, bills of supply for composition dealers, financial-year invoice numbering, GSTIN validation, and the report set your filing needs — GSTR-1 as portal-ready JSON, GSTR-3B, HSN summary, rate-wise and account-wise registers and an audit trail. Credit and debit notes are raised against a bill on screen, numbered in their own series, and reported in GSTR-1.

A customer is back to swap a size. How does the bill work?

Tap Exchange on the new bill, find the old bill and pick the pieces coming back. A credit note is raised against the original bill at what the customer actually paid for each piece — after every discount, at that bill's GST rate — and those pieces go back into stock. Its value settles the new bill, so the customer pays only the difference, or the screen shows the refund due. The return and the new sale each carry their own GST, which is how section 34 of the CGST Act wants a return corrected.

Can it generate e-invoices and e-way bills?

Not yet — it is the next thing being built, through a licensed GST service provider. If your turnover has crossed ₹5 crore in any year since 2017-18, e-invoicing is mandatory for your B2B supplies and you need that today, so it is only fair to say so before you sign up rather than after.

Can I bring my data over from Tally, BUSY or Excel?

Products and customers, yes — import a CSV or an Excel sheet, or point it at a Google Sheet and keep it synced. There is no direct reader for a Tally or BUSY company file, so past bills stay where they are; most shops start fresh from a cut-off date and keep the old software available for reference. Tell us what your export looks like and we will shape the importer around it.

Can I use it on the counter PC and my phone at once?

Yes, and that is the normal way to run it. It is one shop with one set of data, so a bill made on the counter machine is on your phone immediately. Staff log in with their own accounts on whatever device they have.

What printer and scanner do I need?

Whatever you already have. Receipts print to 58 mm or 80 mm thermal rolls, or you can print a full A4 invoice. A USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner needs no setup at all — it types into the bill like a keyboard — and if you do not own one, the phone's camera reads barcodes instead.

Can my staff see what I paid for the stock?

No, not unless you make them an owner. Staff bill at the counter, take payments and record khata entries; cost prices, dealer prices, product edits, reports and settings stay with you.

I don't have a GSTIN. Can I still use it?

Yes. Turn the GST columns off in settings and it bills as a plain retail receipt, with the same stock, khata and reports behind it. Switch them on the day you register, and composition dealers get bills of supply instead of tax invoices.

Does it do full accounting — balance sheet, payroll, manufacturing?

No, and that is deliberate. This is billing, stock, exchanges and GST returns done properly, not an ERP done thinly. If you need payroll, production or a statutory balance sheet, Tally and BUSY genuinely do that better and you should use them for it.

Where does my data sit, and who can see it?

On our server in India, reached only over HTTPS, and scoped to your shop — your staff see your shop and nothing else. We hold no certification badge and will not pretend to one. What we do give you is a full copy on demand, so you are never relying on our word alone.

Is 7 days long enough to decide?

It is a full week of real billing, and that is what settles it. Send us your product list on day one and we will load it for you, so the rest of the week is your own products, your own customers and your own rates — at the counter, on a busy day, with your staff. Run the GST tables off those bills and show your accountant before you pay anything.

What happens when the 7 days are up?

Nothing is deleted. Billing pauses until you subscribe, and the export keeps working the whole time, so you can take your books out whether or not you decide to pay. There is no card on file during the trial, so nothing charges itself.

What if I want to leave?

Export everything as CSV or JSON and go, with no call and no fee — and that export keeps working even after your subscription ends. Keeping customers by making it hard to leave is not a business we want to run.

Who is actually behind this?

One person, who writes every line of it. That means no call centre and no channel partner — and also no ticket queue, no sales handover and no waiting a quarter for a fix. You message the developer and usually have it the same day.
